Rupert is a British born Director and Creative Director, living and working in New York. His work is characterized by a creative approach to directing live action with visual effects, often informed by his background as a designer.
His work spans everything from commercials, music videos, channel idents, feature film titles and visuals for live events.
Rupert's directorial adventures have taken him to the stunning landscapes of Chile for IG, on a mind bending shoot for Timberland in Montreal; he sped around the South of France with Ford; and released an electric tiger to roam the streets of Cape Town for Coral. From the comfort of the studio he also created slick CG animated spots for adidas, Samsung, Playstation and Bentley. He designed the titles to the Tom Hardy gangster movie “Legend”, visuals for Daft Punk, and he also created “Eefer,” the beloved purple animated robot that helped make Channel 4 in Britain even cheekier than it already was.
Rupert recently wrote and directed his first dramatic short “Charlie Cloudhead” starring Paul Higgins and Daisy Haggard. His script won funding from the Homespun Yarns competition and has screened at over 20 prestigious international festivals.
He has won numerous awards for his work and spoken at industry conferences around the world, including IBC, Promax and Siggraph.
